New Organ Dedication at Our Savior Lutheran Church of Danville, KY
Our
Savior Lutheran Church,
285 Hill-N-Dale Drive,
Danville, KY
will dedicate their new organ on Sunday,
October 5th with a Festival service at 10:00 a.m. Our new
Sweelinck 27 Series organ was built especially for Our Savior congregation in Holland by Johannus Organs.
Founded in 1972 Johannus is now an
international company whose church organs are being exported to over 80
countries.
The
noted guest organist will be Dr. Ronald Preloger of Seymour, IN. Dr. Preloger earned his Master's Degree in Organ
Performance from the University
of Michigan in 1979 where
he was a student of Robert Clarke. In
May of 2007, he received a Doctorate in organ from Indiana University
where he was a student of Marilyn Keiser. He has been the Director of Music in Lutheran
parishes in Illinois, Florida,
Michigan, and Indiana. An accomplished organist, Dr. Preloger has
played numerous organ recitals as well as organ dedications.
A
luncheon meal will immediately follow the 10:00 a.m. Dedication and Festival of
Praise, and a brief organ program will conclude the day’s celebration. We’d like to invite all organ and sacred
music enthusiasts to join us on October 5th beginning at 10:00
a.m. Please note that the luncheon meal
will be catered; therefore, you need to make a reservation for the meal by
Monday, September 29th – Adults: $10; Children (ages 5-10) $6;
Children ages 4 and under: free. Please make reservations for the luncheon by
