Lutherans believe the truths of the Holy Bible as they are explained and taught in the Book of Concord and accept that there is not another collection of documents, statements or books that so clearly or accurately presents the teachings of God's word and reveals the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Concord (which means harmony) is a book containing the Lutheran confessions of faith which are as follows:

The Three Ecumenical Creeds: The Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed

The Augsburg Confession

The Apology (defense) of the Augsburg Confession

Luther's Small and Large Catechisms

The Smalcald Articles

The Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope

The Formula of Concord
